The Elberton Lahman's first post

This is such a different kind of thing for me. I love reading all kinds of things on the internet, but I rarely leave any comments or share my ideas. I am probably not alone when it comes to these matters so I know that i have to learn how to crawl before I can take off running. The Christmas tree finally made it from the concrete patio into the house this morning and I am sure that by the time I get home from work this afternoon, it will be looking completely decorated. We are full swing into Christmas just like you and your family is. While I am typing this I know that Dawn is pouring herself into this years version of our Christmas letter. I tried to tell her that she should just write the letter as a post on this blog and then tell everyone to just read the whole thing if they are interested and they don't have to if they aren't. that way she can write as much as she wants and will not have to worry that it is just too long. I'm sure that you all realize that she puts a lot of work into that letter, and I am sure that this year it will be sent out just like every other. I do hope that by learning how to post on this blog we can all stay a little more up to date on what is going on in our loved ones lives.
I am headed off to work and then am coming home to watch the SEC Championship football game. Go Gators!

About us...The Moss Family

For those of you who don't read my blog, I just wanted to give you guys a little update on us. We're in Johnson City, TN, which is about 1 hour north of Asheville, NC and 1.5 hours east of Gatlinburg, TN. We are at the edge of the Great Smokies and our house has a really nice view of them. We moved up here in September of '06, shortly after Mallory was born in April '06. We moved from Charlotte, NC mainly because we wanted to. Patrick was able to transfer laterally within his company, though he got a promotion shortly after we arrived in TN.

Ethan was born in Nov '07 and life has been busy now that we're a family of four. He's a big boy and he's just now starting to walk, which I'm really happy about because my arms and back couldn't take luggin' around a 29 pounder.

We love to have company and hope that if anyone is travelling down I-81 or I-26 that you'll stop by. Or if you want to just make our house a destination, that's fine, too.

What are you all up to?
